Designed in the late 1950s, the 'Guama' easy chair is a rare piece that features a mahogany wooden base with an original patinated cognac leather upholstery. A remarkable find on the current market. Designed by Gonzalo Cordoba for Dujo Cuba in 1958. Gonzalo Córdoba and María Victoria Caignet, a celebrated Cuban design duo, have emerged as unique voices in the country's design history. Working with fervent enthusiasm and passion, they are renowned for their rigorous exploration and innovative use of local materials from their homeland. Their industrial designs seamlessly integrate climate conditions, economic practicality, a refined aesthetic, and the expression of values deeply rooted in Cuban culture.
