About the Item

A vintage dining / desk chair designed and marketed by Van Keppel - Green Originals, located in Los Angeles, California. The chair was first introduced in 1948, but does not appear in the 1950 catalog, so I am assuming the chair was discontinued, which makes the design quite rare. The frame is made of iron, before restoration there where traces of it's original grapefruit (lime green) finish. The iron surface has been cleaned and repainted semigloss black. When found the white cotton twisted yacht cord had been long gone, the current cording is a polyester blend. The chair is approximately 31 inches tall at the back, 18 inches wide and 27 inches deep.
