About the Item

Vittorio Introini for Saporiti Italia red leather lounge chair, Italy, 1980s. A beautiful and comfortable lounge chair with saddle-effect seats in smooth leather. This has their original red leather upholstery. Designed in the 1970s by Vittorio Introini and manufactured in the 1980s by Saporiti Italia. Founded in 1950, Saporiti is still creating and producing some of the most sophisticated and advanced pieces of furniture in the history of Italian design. Each design is very innovative, anticipating future years of innovation. Some Saporiti Italia pieces can be found in the world's most famous modern art and design museums. The leather is in vintage clean condition. This comfortable lounge chair would make an eye-catching addition to any interior, such as a living room, family room, screening room, or office. It also perfectly fits in a hospitality or corporate location like a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, or a luxury boutique—some minor patina on the leather parts, but in overall good vintage condition. When you choose for used midcentury design, you use what is already there, making it sustainable. You may not give the furniture a second, but even a third or fourth life. Mid-century design furniture is often a high-quality product that lasts several lives for a reason. Some furniture has a rich history, and the story is still visible or tangible with some. The signs of wear give a glimpse into the previous owner's life.
