This is one of the best looking and well made desk chairs I have ever seen, the timber grain, inlay and patina is sublime, for some reason the Dutch were the absolute masters of this kind of work, from what I hear the techniques they used have now been lost to time. Every square inch of this piece is carved and or inlaid with some kind of detail, this is pure art furniture from every angle and will truly elevate any office or home space
Restoration wise it has been on a journey, the frame has been sympathetically washed back and French polished being sure to keep all the original age related patina, the leather seat pad is new Italian leather, its upholstered plain, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished
