About the Item

Desk chair. The height as well as the seat back are adjustable. The chair has traces of wear like the chrome has become dull at places and the leather shows a bit age, but the chair is still a beautiful piece. The max height is 111 cm and the seat height is 55 cm and the minimal height is respectively 103 cm and 47 cm. The total width of the chair is 58 cm, but the width of the seat is 45 cm This is a high back Supporto chair designed by Fred Scott and manufactured by Hille in wonderful condition. Fred Scott was one of the most highly respected office furniture designers and in his 40 year career, the Supporto chair was arguably his finest design. He designed the chair in 1979 and such was its innovative design, it revolutionized office chairs of the time and is now seen as a major influence on office furniture as we know it today. The design of the Supporto chair won national and international acclaim and his designs won numerous awards including a Design Award from the Design Council. Fred Scott became a tutor at the Royal College of Art and was there for many years. The Supporto chair comes in many different shapes and sizes including a low-backed task chair, a low-backed high draughtsman's stool, one with a narrow back and in a polished steel or powder coated finish. The seat pads come in different colors and fabrics. This one is in polished steel with red leather pads and is a high-backed task chair with adjustable back and height. Measure: Weight 16.5 kg. Back height 102cm to 112cm Depth 56cm Width with arms 59cm Maximum seat height 55 cm. Minimum seat height 47 cm. Chair width (total chair including arms) 58 cm. Seat width only 45 cm.
