About the Item

A breathtaking sculpted and inlaid chair made by American studio craft artist Steven Spiro. This unique piece features an organic, curvaceous, cantilevered form in sculpted and bent-laminated woods. The seat and back feature whimsical inlays of hardwoods and fossil, showing moon cycles, galaxies, and other cosmological forms. Signed on leg: "Spiro 05". The chair is mindbogglingly comfortable. Perfect as a dining chair, accent chair, or at a desk. This piece has been lovingly restored and is in smooth, lovely condition, with very light cosmetic wear consistent with age. It is ready to be place in a high end interior.
