French Louis XV Carved Side Chair
About the Item
A lovely Louis XV chair with a framed back adorned with carved rosettes at each corner and additional carving on the arched crest rail. The apron is also carved with a frieze along the front and sides, and a framed rosette at the center front, with three carved tassels. Supported by cabriole legs that end in hoof feet.
Has been recently upholstered with an off-white textured wool fabric.
A rare and unusual chair, very nicely crafted.
