Pair Early 20th Century French Louis XVI Carved Walnut and Cane Vanity Chairs

About the Item

Crafted in France circa 1920, each side chair is finely carved and stands on classic elegant fluted Louis XVI-style legs, decorated with floral rosette medallions at the shoulder. The curved, arched back is crowned with hand-carved flower motifs at the pediment, and gracefully supported by scrolling acanthus leaf decor on the sides. Both seat and back are fitted with hand-woven cane, adding texture and lightness to the design. The chairs are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina. Ideal as accent seating in a bedroom, behind a desk, or paired with a vanity. Custom teal tie-on cushions are included for added comfort. Measures: 16.5" W x 19" D x 36.75" H.
