About the Item

Designed by French-Spanish designer Pierre Lottier for Almazán in the 1950s, this rare set of four high-back slipper chairs channels a refined Spanish Neoclassical aesthetic. Each chair features a solid oak frame with gracefully curving legs and stretcher supports, paired with hand-patinated reddish-brown leather upholstery, secured with original decorative nailhead trim. The silhouette is deeply sculptural, with a narrow curved seat and high, sweeping back that gives these chairs an almost architectural presence. Though originally designed as auxiliary or accent chairs, their generous proportions and supportive frame make them usable as dining or occasional seating. Condition: Leather is in very vintage condition across all chairs, with visible cracking and surface wear consistent with age and use. One chair has had its leather professionally replaced. The original leather is soft and supple to the touch and has not dried out. Dimensions: • Width: 16” • Depth: 21” • Seat Height: 17.5” • Back Height: 41.34” A sculptural and rare collectible set—perfect for interiors seeking Old World drama, neoclassical restraint, or bold materiality. Pierre Lottier chairs, Almazán furniture, Spanish Neoclassical, 1950s leather chairs, vintage slipper chairs, sculptural oak chairs, antique leather seating, collectible midcentury European furniture, neoclassical revival, Spanish Colonial revival chairs, brown leather accent chairs
