Art Deco Stool, Germany, Early - Mid 20th Century
About the Item
Art Deco stool, upholstered with genuine leather, early to mid-20th century, in beautiful, restored condition. The stool is made of solid beechwood with a bent plywood seat ring and features a cross-shaped stabilizer underneath the seat for stability. The seat is lightly padded and covered with soft aniline leather.
The stool is in good, restored overall condition: All screws are secure, some of the glue has been renewed, there is no wobble, and the surfaces have been sanded and refinished by hand with shellac using the traditional Schelleck ball polish.
