Charred Stump Stools with Hand-Turned Legs and Drawers

About the Item

Pieces of salvaged wood are charred in the Shou Sugi Ban method and sealed with oil. This provides for an exquisite sheen and texture that is ideal for both interior and exterior applications. Each stool has a scooped out seat for comfort and features hand-turned legs and circular drawers from shop cut-offs. Mortise-Tenon joinery provides superior strength and durability. As seen in images stools are charred and finished with oil measuring 19" high, widths vary. This is a bespoke piece so custom dimensions, materials and finishes (both interior and exterior) can be accommodated. All Stefan Rurak Studio pieces are designed and handcrafted in Brooklyn New York.
