Isamu Kenmochi Stool for Akita Mokko, 1960s

About the Item

A stackable stool "No.202" in beech and cane designed by Isamu Kenmochi and manufactured by Akita Mokko. Kenmochi stool No.202 was originally designed in 1955 and released in 1958. The production volume is said to be more than one million by 1990. This individual is in the version with cane seat that had been manufactured between 1963 to 1987 and it's assumed to be manufactured in 1960s to 1970s. The cane seat was rewoven recently and it can be used practically. Akita Mokko is a bentwood furniture maker with over 100 years of history.
