About the Item
Typically, when working with wood, the focus is on accurate pre-planning and precise material selection. As the motto goes, ‘measure twice, cut once.’ But for the Nougat stool, Studio Bovti turned this idea around. Instead, they asked themselves during the development process how they could trust in the beauty of materials through pure chance. By consciously relinquishing control, Studio Bovti developed a mass from a colorful variety of woods with a unique resin mixture. We have already found ourselves wanting to bite into it instead of sitting on it.

Studio Bovti
Studio Bovti is the joint work of Inna Strokous and Marius Schwald, whose focus is the realization of unique furniture and objects through a combination of craft by hand and digital production methods. The main features of their approach are a bold use of materials, playful forms and the powerful expression of thoughts and feelings. The projects deliberately differ from one another in their formal language, appearance and materiality. In this way, Studio Bovti ensures that their joy of experimentation is never lost and that they pursue new visions and challenges in their daily work with a touch of healthy naivety. Studio Bovti sees their process as an expression of joy. They celebrate the instincts of the inner child that are within all of us and deserve a voice. At the same time, viewers’ perceptions are also relevant, and the objects invite the imagination. In each project Studio Bovti expresses their passions and love for art by creating handmade objects of the highest quality.
This stool can also be produced as a custom-made product in any size. The entire manufacturing process is entirely handmade. Due to the random arrangement of the pieces of wood, each stool is unique
