This wonderful pair of stools, crafted by Finnish designer Olavi Hänninen in the 1960s, features unique warm tones due to their dark-stained elm wood construction. Hand-carved with precision, each bar stool is a truly one-of-a-kind piece. The pentagon shape of the seats adds a playful element to their design. These stools are in pristine original condition. Hänninen (1920-1992) was a highly acclaimed interior architect and designer, known for his exceptional work in furniture, silverware, public spaces, and public transport. The stools have a solid elm build, with thick pentagonal seats and three splayed leg braces. The edges of the wooden pieces have been smoothed, giving them a softer look and feel, while exhibiting a fantastic original patina with minor traces of use.
