This expressive pair of mid-century benches was crafted in Italy circa 1970, showcasing a sculptural curule-form base with faux bamboo detailing and hand-painted orange and gilt accents. Measuring 20 inches wide by 16.5 inches deep and 18.5 inches high, each bench offers a compact footprint with bold design presence.
The crossed X-form legs are joined by a turned center stretcher and feature carved ribbon motifs at the intersections and floral rosettes at the corners. The seats are upholstered in vibrant orange fabric. Both show light watermarks and faint signs of wear consistent with age, but remain structurally sound and visually striking.
Ideal for use as vanity seats, cocktail table companions, or accents beneath a console, these benches blend classical Italian form with mid-century flair.
