About the Item
Antique piano stool – hand-turned swivel stool, late 19th century, restored.
This exquisite piano stool from the Napoleon III era combines historical elegance with outstanding craftsmanship. Made of high-quality wood, the stool is artfully turned and characterized by its robust yet delicate construction. The seat is height-adjustable and offers music lovers and pianists optimal comfort.
The piano stool has a frame consisting of three slanted, turned legs that support the plate with the spindle nut. The legs are held together at the bottom by ornate struts. The steel spindle is concealed by a vertical round wooden block, also turned. The seat is slightly curved in the center and covered with leather. The stool is height-adjustable from 45 cm to approximately 60 cm. The stool is heavy and stable.
Condition: All glue joints have been checked and repaired where necessary. The spindle guide is in very good condition and has very little play. The surfaces have obviously been professionally finished with modern piano lacquer, and the leather upholstery has been renewed. Restored, like-new condition.
