Space Age vintage organic stool from plastic in white and ivory color designed by Luigi Colani. Germany 1971 / 1972.
A rare collector piece, this new arrival, a stool from white and ivory plastic by Luigi Colani 1971 / 72.
Luigi Colani ( 1928 - 2019 ) famed German designer, who loved the biomorph and aerodynamic shapes. He designed furnitures and objects of the daily use in organic shapes.
Luigi Colani had many business connections to Asia, especially to Japan and Shanghai, where he held few professorships.
He explained the Asian preferences for his designs, that Asia is more connected to the biomorph and organic designs than Europe.
This stool is in distressed condition. It shows signs of age and use like small cracks and color abrasions.
