Beautiful antique camphor wood chest. Beautiful light warm color. Completely in perfect condition. Can be used as a coffee table / TV cabinet The legs can be unscrewed In the 18th and 19th centuries, camphor chests were used to transport tea, silk and porcelain from China to Europe and America. Camphor wood has a fresh scent that resembles eucalyptus and is a natural repellent against moths. Camphor chests were also used to store blankets, bedding, clothing and papers.
