About the Item
Oriental carved chest. The front features a scene of dragons among clouds, a symbol of power and protection in Chinese iconography. The sides are also decorated with details of fauna and flora scenes, all framed by floral patterns all over the chest.
The finish is a reddish varnish with orange nuances, which highlight the contrast between the smooth parts and the reliefs. The lid, similarly, crafted, has metal hinges and a gold metal clasp in the shape of a stylized flower. The curved, delicate feet elevate the piece for greater visual lightness.
When opened, the raw interior is revealed, with no divisions, ideal for storing fabrics, crockery or various objects. A decorative and functional piece of furniture with a strong artisanal appeal and an expressive oriental aesthetic.
