About the Item
This two-drawer Chippendale mahogany blanket chest is solid mahogany throughout and fully finished on all four sides. The top molding is richly carved. The front, sides, and back have panels made with quarter cornered applied molding. Two drawers have blind fretwork fronts, and there is blind fretwork on the feet on all four sides of the chest. The top originally had a stopping brace.
