Early XIX Light Blue Floral Painted Alpine Chest

About the Item

Painted Tyrolean Chest, Blue Measurements: H. 88 cm - W. 149 cm - D. 64 cm Period: about 1810 Origin: Tyrol Wood: Fir Description: Beautiful and large painted Tyrolean chest, entirely painted in pale blue. On the front there are three main panels containing rich floral decorations on a white background. Shaped lowering decorated with faux marble. Floral decorations still present on the lid and sides. On the side you can see the classic workmanship with "dovetail" joints. All these pieces of furniture were built with interlocking systems, without the use of glue. The nails that anchor the frames to the frame of the furniture are wooden nails, wedge-shaped, and are easily visible, even if covered by the paint. Partially restored furniture. Restoration information: Our laboratory guarantees conservative restoration for each piece of furniture while respecting its integrity. Each piece of furniture is treated to ensure solidity and hygiene.
