Finest Quality Antique 1830 Flamed Hardwood Wellington Chest of Drawers Bookcase

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this important, hand made in England, flamed Mahogany Wellington chest of drawers with bookcase middle This is one of the finest quality antiques I have ever seen, the timber patina is sublime, absolutely exquisite in every way shape and form, the carvings, cuts of wood used, everything is first class, this would have been a no expense spared commission for a very important family. A Wellington chest is a tall chest of drawers with a lockable side panel, the smaller versions are around 100cm with the taller versions coming in at approximately 130cm, this piece is over 150cm tall and has as you can see, a pair of Wellington chests which house an open library bookcase in the middle The condition is very very good, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there may be some age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect from a piece 190+ years old, nothing that detracts from the charm and charisma Dimensions Height:- 153cm Width:- 224.5cm Depth:- 47.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
