Large 19th century Burmese colonial haberdashery cabinet

About the Item

Large 19th century Burmese colonial haberdashery cabinet circa 1880. Here we offer a fine example of where English regency style furniture meets oriental influence. We are pleased to offer this piece in total original condition apart from 2 glazed panels. Made when the british ruled in burma it's hard to ignore the typical elegance of the regency period mixed with the oriental woods and cabinet making. Comprising of 2 sections. Top section of 2 double door glazed doors containing a bank of 48 drawers with brass ring handles. Bottom section with a double door cupboard containing a single shelf with central partition. Standing on a plinth base. Fantastic piece of furniture for the home or an ideal piece for retail display. Important to remember we offer this piece in original condition and patina which has stood the test of time very well. Expected surface marks and natural fading.  This could be altered after purchase if desired.  No fitted with any door catches. Expected surface marks and minor losses, 3 glass sections replaced.
