Beautiful Mid Century Oak Bookcase manufactured by Herbert E Gibbs A wonderful 50s/60s bookcase or display unit with sliding glass doors, shelves and cupboard section. This is a top quality, sleek and stylish piece of furniture perfect for the modern home. Rare and scarcely seen example. In gilded oak, a room with a neat design with a flared façade. It will slot in easily and quietly alongside other pieces of different styles and sizes, and its shallow depth won’t intrude into the room. Either for a Hallway, bedroom, Living or dining room. This stylish mid century cabinet can be employed as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, hall cabinet and much more. This stylish piece, is composed of 2 section. The upper section, narrower, has 2 glass sliding door which reveal 2 shelves that are both removeable and height-adjustable. The bottom section with oak sliding doors and handmade handles reveal an storage area for anything you won't to be seen. Features: Adjustable shelves Beautiful grain Finger joints Stamp at the back Herbert E. Gibbs trained as a cabinet maker at a technical college and also taught carpentry at a school. He founded Herbert E. Gibbs, a furniture manufacturing company in approximately the 1920s. The firm was based at De Beauvoir Road, London and later First Avenue, Montague Road, London.
