About the Item

Pair of eccentric metal bookcases - Homage to the style of Gio Ponti, 1950s-60s An encounter between art, design and functionality: this pair of bookcases or wall shelves made in the 1950s-60s is a clear homage to the refined and experimental aesthetics of Gio Ponti, one of the great masters of Italian design. A set capable of giving character and movement to spaces through fluid, light and eccentric forms. Made of white-painted metal, these bookcases stand out for their anthropomorphic, sinuous lines that recall Ponti's organic, poetic style. Each curve is designed to give life to unconventional geometric compositions, capable of stunning the eye and transforming even the most neutral wall into a work of design. Each of the two bookcases has a unique and different shape, designed to accommodate books, art objects, vases or sculptures of various sizes. This asymmetry allows for a creative use of space, where functionality and decoration come together naturally. An invitation to experience the bookcase not as a simple container, but as a living component of the furniture. Through the integrated perforated brackets on the back, the bookcases can be easily anchored either to the wall or on top of furniture or cupboards, depending on the interior design. This flexibility makes them suitable for every need, from bold designs to more discreet furniture solutions, without ever losing their visual impact. Their unique personality, visual lightness and suggestive shapes make them perfect for those who like to decorate with taste, irony and originality.
