About the Item

Sn4749, exceptional Regency rosewood bookcase, having adjustable leather top with removable book holder above 2 panelled and arched sections and 2 open sections, each with 2 height adjustable shelves, all flanked by fluted columns with finely carved capitals, all standing on brass castors. Bears James Winter & Sons, Wardour Street, Soho, London’ label. The bookcase retains its original finish which has been revived, soft and mellow color and good patina, all in home ready condition, circa 1820. Measures: H 32?, W 28.5?, D 25.5? H 81cm, W 72cm, D 65cm Stock number: Sn4749.
