About the Item

Hand-carved in northern Spain circa 1720, this exquisite antique cabinet showcases masterful craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Made from solid walnut, it features a rich, aged patina that enhances its character. The two doors are decorated with the original forged iron pulls and an escutcheon, highlighting the skilled blacksmithing techniques of the period. Both doors and sides are decorated with deeply carved geometric square raised panels, a hallmark of Spanish Baroque design. Inside, the cabinet reveals spacious shelving, offering storage for a variety of uses. The buffet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. It serves as a stylish solution for concealing cable boxes and entertainment systems in a living room or it could even be used in a bedroom to store linens and bedding. Measures: 40"W x 26"D x 51"H.

Decorate an entry or a living room with this elegant buffet. Crafted in France circa 1970, and built of walnut, the cabinet stands on a thick plinth base. The piece features two arched paneled doors decorated with carved floral motifs in the corners, and flanked with small rectangular doors on both sides with decorative double hinges. Opening the side doors and center double doors of the cabinet, it reveals a light blue painted interior with two shelves for ultimate storage. The top with rounded corners is also built of walnut over two small frieze cutlery drawers dressed with iron pulls, and embellished with carved geometric decor. The narrow Louis XIV style buffet is in excellent condition and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, it could also be used in a hallway, a bedroom, or converted into a vanity cabinet with the addition of a sink. The Classic sideboard exemplifies the Louis XV style with a heavy presence, dramatic lines and intricate floral and foliage carvings throughout. The cabinet stands on small cabriole legs ending with escargot feet, over a scalloped apron heavily decorated with a center urn filled with floral and leaf motifs. The cabinet features a pair of drawers across the front dressed with heavy forged iron handles and matching escutcheons (and two fake drawers at the end!), over hand carved laurel and oak branch decor.
