French Transition Style 19th Century Pine Buffet with Drawers over Doors

About the Item

A French Transition style pine buffet from the 19th century, with three fluted drawers over three doors, carved apron and cabriole legs. Created in France during the 19th century, this pine buffet showcases the characteristics of the Transition style which combined the sinuous lines of the Louis XV period with hints of the new Classical décor of the Louis XVI era. This buffet features a rectangular top sitting above three fluted drawers, all fitted with brass pulls. Three carved doors below, open to reveal unfinished inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The sides are made of recessed panels and the back is, of course, simply planked. The ensemble is raised on four legs, scrolling in the front and straight in the back. With its elegant Silhouette and warm patina, this French Transition style pine buffet from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a living room or dining room.
