About the Item

Danish Display Cabinet, made from Nordic oak – A Unique Blend of Farmhouse Charm and Classic Craftsmanship This display cabinet with glass doors on the top section draws inspiration from farmhouse style and traditional design lines. The lower section, especially the carved door patterns and the low apron with its gentle wave motif, clearly echoes the work of Kjærnulf—most notably seen in his iconic tables. With generous storage space and two bulbs lighting up the vitrine top, this piece offers both function and elegance. It’s relatively shallow, making it ideal for placement against a wall without taking up too much space in the room. Crafted entirely from solid oak, this cabinet stands out from typical 1960s and 1970s furniture, which is often only partially veneered. Its build quality and unique details suggest it was custom-made by a cabinetmaker—likely a one-of-a-kind piece. The leaded glass windows contribute a sense of ecclesiastical grandeur, while still nodding to English farmhouse style. One pane has a crack but remains intact and does not rattle. It WILL be repaired prior to shipping by a professional. Beautiful brass hinges on drawers and doors function flawlessly, and two working keys are included. The locks are fully operational. In excellent original condition, displaying a gentle patina that is consistent with its age and use. The wood surface shown a beautiful grain structure. Even though that the cabinet is big and heavy, it still feels slim and elegant. The squared dimensions of the item make it carm and warm in appearance. Keys are included. everything is working and the furniture has been cleaned and givin oil. Henning/Henry Kjærnulf. Kjærnulf is globally recognized for his unique fusion of Scandinavian Modern aesthetics with elements reminiscent of medieval, baroque, and even Viking styles. The design is occasionally referred to as "Danish Brutalist." low section measure 200cm width, 77.5cm height and 43cm depth (78.7" width, 30.5" height, 16.9" depth) top vitrine section measure 200cm width, 102cm height and 24cm depth (78.7" width, 40.2" height, 9.4" depth)
