About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale one of three very large mid-century haberdashery cabinets This auction is for one, the other two are different sizes and listed under my other items, there is over 25 feet of cabinets in total This one has 6 bays so 54 glass fronted sliding drawers, the drawers can be reversed so you have the wood back facing out, handy if you don’t want to see what is inside Both ends on this one are finished, the left side sits a little proud at the top meaning the wood overhangs the edge, the base front skirting is missing, the timber has a general vintage patina, there will be chips and scratches consistent with age and use The cabinets came from a vintage shooting and general sporting goods shop that was closing down in Wales, the shop had been there for over 70 years These cabinets haven’t been waxed however they have all been deep cleaned, the glass fronts have all been removed and industrial cleaned so totally stripped with white spirits then washed. I can have the cabinets waxed and polished for £150 each should the new owners wish Dimensions Height 214cm Width 277cm Depth 59cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
