About the Item
1920’s Original French Industrial Metal Cabinet – Thirty Six Klappets.
Beautifully made very heavy weight sheet metal filing cabinet, with thirty six hinged ‘klappet’ compartments. The compartments are the perfect size for letters and small documents, the front panel simply pulls down with a light pull and clicks back into location. The cabinet was originally from the offices of a large French company where they were used for document storage. This cabinet is completely original with the original bronze finish, complete with subtle pin stripe detail. The most stunning feature of the cabinet is the complete set of original hardware, nameplates, pull handles and the enamel numbers. Reminiscent of Strafor but not marked in any way. Internal Compartment Dimensions: L26 x W19 x H19 cm.
