19th Century Neo-Classical St. Cherrywood, Fruitwood and Giltwood Cabinet

About the Item

A handsome and most decorative Continental 19th century Neo-Classical st. Cherrywood, ebonized Fruitwood, and giltwood cabinet. The two door one drawer cabinet is raised by elegant square tapered legs leading up to impressive richly carved giltwood caryatids on a foliate plinth holding a garment around their waist with their other hand in their hair. The two central doors showcase the beautiful Cherrywood grain with a fine ormolu keyhole escutcheon and open to reveal one adjustable shelf and all original hardware. Above the single drawer is a most decorative richly carved Les Oves giltwood band and ebonized Fruitwood fillet framing the beautiful Cherrywood top.
