2 Chinese Export Black Lacquer Carved Soapstone Scholars Cabinets Console Chests

About the Item

Magnificent pair of Chinese Lacquered Low Scholars Cabinets, circa second half 20th century. Double Doors Open to Single Shelf over shaped apron. Each features Carved Hardstone and intricate gold filigree / latticework designs with social scenes. Geishas are elegantly placed at the foreground of each landscape. The sides are accented by branches, flowers and bamboo. The chests are matching in size and include patinated metal lock plates. Great for use as consoles or altar cabinets in any entryway or room. Dimensions: 23.25" x 11" x 30"h
