About the Item
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian two-part cocktail bar cabinet with an elevated top made of hand crafted polished Rosewood and Walnut, designed most likely by Osvaldo Borsani in good condition. The tall freestanding credenza is composed with six drawers and three cabinets, standing on six arched wooden legs. The inside of center cabinet consists three small drawers which are made of polished Maplewood, the backside is embellished with the original mirrored glass, featuring a single light socket. The cupboards on the sides are consisting each two shelving. The sideboard is consisting its original metal hardware and brass keys. The wires have been renewed. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1960, Italy.
Osvaldo Borsani was born in 1911, in Varedo, Italy and passed away in 1985, in Milan, Italy. He was an Italian architect and designer. Borsani started working at an early age in the family business and in 1953, he founded a company named Tecno with his brother Fulgenzio which later on became a world-leading manufacturer in office designing.
