Antique Country French Solid Cherry Enfilade

About the Item

Early to mid 19th c. from La Vendee or Charante region of France in both Louis XV and XVI styles. An elegant enfilade with dowel construction. A narrow apron with a single center drawer (lacking a key). With Louis XVI carved fluted supports and three doors with carved moldings and panels (with a key), opening to a single long shelf. With a fine Louis XV scalloped skirt rail with carved decorative ribbon border. Raised on scrolled escargot feet in front and square legs in back. Some restorations and repairs have been done including- replaced door hardware, repair to left door at the bottom left corner, repair to back left foot. L. 71 1/4", Depth 21 1/2", H. 38" Condition: Please see photos for details. Various acceptable signs of age include stable age cracks and scratches to the top and sides, some expected marks, nicks, indents and wear on the top, mentioned for accuracy as the Cabinet presents exceptionally well.
