At NONO, we create pieces of extraordinary beauty, accommodating the particular needs and tastes of each client with exclusive high-quality designs. — Joel Escalona is a Mexican designer, difficult to define with a single word. His constant search for clarity, integrity and harmony led to his development as a designer with an obvious inclination towards visual arts, such as painting and sculpture. Joel’s work is characterized by thorough and elegant processes, sometimes creative, other times productive and on occasion, a bit introspective. In his work, it is possible to find glimpses of his charismatic and ironic personality, resorting to elements such as lyric, humor and poetry as attributes that are in constant connection throughout his body of work. — ——— Some details to consider when placing an order with us: • Catalog images are digitally generated. Actual products may slightly vary in texture, grain, and final finish due to natural material differences. Despite these variations, our expertise ensures each piece maintains high quality and matches the intended design. • All of our products are made to order, and the lead time for standard products is estimated to be 9 to 12 weeks, plus shipping time. However, special pieces or sculptures may require a longer lead time. • We offer customization in dimensions and finish for all of our furniture pieces, which may result in additional charges. • We only facilitate freight services by a third party. Pair of Louis XVI Marquetry Corner Cabinets in the Manner of Daniel Deloose
By Daniel Deloose
Located in Berlin, DE
An exceptional pair of corner cabinets or encoignures each with a marquetry top above canted corners simulating fluting, the panelled door with flowers in a vase made of precious woods i.e. burl ash, walnut, fruit woods, with pyrogravure and fruitwood stringing, opening to reveal one shelf, on bracket feet. Daniel Deloose, or de Loose, was an ébèniste of Flemish origin who received his maitrise in 1767, thanks to a special royal edict. He worked mainly in the Transitional and Louis XVI style, both with geometric parquetry and landscape marquetry. His designs often comprise a marquetry top instead of a marble top as it was generally expected of French case cabinets...
