Burled Walnut Sideboard, circa 1900

About the Item

Made of beautiful walnut and burled walnut veneers with a well figured, unique grain, this sideboard features a serpentine front; two center columns of three drawers, flanked by curved doors with arched, recessed panels; and carved, scalloped aprons. The top left drawer is a silverware drawer, which is lined with green fabric. Cabriole legs with carvings at the knees, terminating in pad feet support the sideboard. A backboard once sat on the back edge of the sideboard creating a slightly darker color of walnut.
