About the Item
A rare typology in contemporary design, the CANTO Drawer Unit is constructed entirely in anodized aluminum, following the series’ formal language. The structure is welded; drawers are made from the same brushed sheets and feature precise cutouts in place of handles.
It functions as an unexpected hybrid between utilitarian storage and sculptural presence. Perfect as a side unit, nightstand, or document holder. Its light-reflecting surfaces and rigid frame make it feel architectural, even monumental.

CANTO Series
The CANTO series is made from anodized, brushed aluminum angles and sheets, both in matching thicknesses. Seats and backrests are bolted onto a welded frame, resulting in a structure that appears, paradoxically, both assertive and ethereal.
This design seeks to subtract material in order to reveal form. The angled profile draws itself through absence — a negative space, a void column. The reflective quality of the aluminum sheets for seat and backrest renders them visually detached from the structure, as if suspended.
In contrast to this apparent instability and the rawness of exposed cuts, the CANTO pieces offer surprising comfort. The aluminum backrest flexes slightly under pressure, and rubber disks isolate the metal frame from the floor, softening contact and enhancing stability.

Luiz Solano
Luiz Solano (São Paulo, 1995) is an architect who graduated from Escola da Cidade in 2018. In 2019, he founded Clube, with Gabriel Biselli, where he was responsible for architecture and furniture projects. At Clube, they had works selected in architecture competitions, published in independent magazines and presented in exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. They also organized a series of lectures, exhibitions, and workshops with male and female architects from Brazil and the world.
In July 2022, Luiz Solano founded his own architecture office, based in São Paulo, Brazil.
