Dutch Art Deco oak cabinet by Jan Brunott, 1920s An Art Deco "The Hague school" (Haagse school) tea cabinet or serving cabinet. Design by Jan Brunott. Dutch design from the 1920s, made of oak and lacquered black elements with two doors. Inside a shelf. The Hague school style is recognizable by the straight and cubist shapes of the furniture that reflect the architecture of the time. The Hague School was a mix of the rationalism of Berlage, the traditional Arts and Crafts Movement, the interiors of Frank Lloyd Wright, Rietveld and the Avant-garde movement De Stijl. All this in a modern design. Jan Brunott was a furniture designer and interior designer. Born in The Netherlands : 1889, Kethel (Schiedam). Died: 1951, The Hague. Place and period of activity: The Hague, from 1910 to 1951. The measurement is 91.5 cm high, 69 cm wide and the depth is 41.5. The weight is 22 kilos
