English Chinoiserie Georgian Style Japanned Scarlet Vermillion Cabinet Secretary

About the Item

Vintage bureau cabinet secretary in the English chinoiserie style with elements of Queen Anne and George I design, japanned finish in red vermillion/scarlet with hand-painted and gilt decorations. In two sections with upper cabinet with arched doors opening to reveal four small drawers and numerous compartments. Lower section with fall front opening to reveal bureau fitted with eight drawers and four compartment. Lower section with four drawers raised on ball feet.
