A French Art Deco amboyna wood and mahogany cabinet / wardrobe, C 1930.

About the Item

This cabinet - often referred to as a compactum wardrobe - is of exceptional quality and is solid mahogany throughout with doors veneered in Amboyna wood. It is very elegant and was crafted by a master cabinetmaker. The Art Deco design is exquisite as you note the stacked top and shape of this cabinet tapers from top to the metal mounted bottom. The finish was recently redone, and we have one key fitting the metal mounted escutcheon. This cabinet is ready to be used in your home and comes with a full compliment of shelves to hold clothes or treasured collections.
