This antique cabinet was crafted in the Early Showa Period (1926-). Known as a “Mizuya Tansu,” this traditional Japanese kitchen cabinet was originally designed to store utensils, dishes, and kitchenware in an organized and beautiful way. Mizuya Tansu often features multiple compartments, sliding doors, and shelves, making it highly practical for modern living as well. This piece is made of Hinoki wood (Japanese cypress), a timber prized in Japan for its lightness, durability, and subtle fragrance.
