About the Item

A Japanese compound cabinet from the early 20th century with black and gold speckled finish and glass sliding doors. Created in Japan during the early years of the 20th century, this compound cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a black and gold speckled finish. The upper section features four sliding doors that open to reveal an interior divided into two parts. The lower part of this upper cabinet is made of two glass doors that slide to give access to open shelves with curving accents, a small drawer and two additional petite sliding doors. The lower cabinet is made of a perfectly organized arrangement of two sliding doors and a traditional single one, sitting above three drawers fitted with curving bail handles on floral backplates. The sides and inside of the open shelves showcase a dark lacquer complimenting the gold and black décor beautifully. With its nice proportions and convenient design, this Japanese early 20th century compound cabinet will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a living room or foyer.
