Large Rococo Style Painted Wood Dutch Cabinet with Glass Doors and Bombé Chest

About the Item

A Dutch painted and carved wooden cabinet from the 19th century, with glass doors and bombé chest. Created in the Netherlands during the 19th century, this large Rococo style cabinet features a carved crest sitting above two glass doors with arched lines, flanked with canted sides. These doors open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient display opportunities. The lower section showcases a large bombé chest presenting three graduated drawers adorned with painted scrolling cartouches. Painted in a cream color contrasted with shades of blue grey, the cabinet is raised on four curving feet, connected to one another through an apron carved in the front. With its great proportions and skillfully painted décor, this 19th century Rococo style Dutch cabinet will make for a great focal point in any home, whether placed in a living room or dining room.
