Pair Artes de Mexico 1960s Cabinets Signed By The Artisan Maker
About the Item
Artes de Mexico is not to be confused with the current LA-based store Arte de Mexico. Artes de Mexico imported handmade pieces from Mexico, exclusively for sale to the trade. Most were signed by the artisans who made them.
This pair of cabinets, signed by Salvatore Franco, are rustic hand carved and dark stained pine, with two doors. Each door has a pair of recessed eight-pointed star designs. Hand forged iron pulls with hand made nails. Doors open to reveal a single shelf, two part interior. Sides have the same carved pattern as the doors. Rare, rustic, and well made.
