Pair of Early 19th Century Rosewood Pedestal Cabinets
About the Item
A lovely pair of 19th century rosewood pedestal cabinets, nice figured rosewood tops, the front of the cabinets having carved patraes either side at the top, columns either side with beading running along in each column, the hinged door having a pleated silk panel at the centre opening to reveal a single shelf inside, supported on turned bun feet, circa 1830.

The rectangular top with brass-mounted rim over decorated ormolu frieze above four reeded brass inlaid pillars with brass capitals, the exceptional centre door profusely decorated with ormolu scrolls and head mounts, flanked by two glazed doors decorated in red boulle and silver inlay, the interiors fitted with shelves, the base with four Bacchic masks terminating on turned tapering toupie ormolu-mounted feet.
