About the Item
Elegant Gustavian chest of drawers, Denmark c. 1780–1790.
The piece is painted in a refined blue tone and features a grey-marbled top plate. Below the top runs a finely carved a la grec frieze, typical of the Gustavian neoclassical style.
The chest has three drawers with original brass fittings and locks. The legs are decorated with elegant carved details, giving the piece a light and harmonious appearance.
