18th Century French Oak Coffer with Carved Panels and Brass Studs A large provincial French oak coffer dating from the 18th century. The front features four panels, each with a shaped reserve carved with a stylised flowerhead, accented with brass studs. The moulded plank top lifts to reveal a spacious interior. Constructed in solid oak throughout, with pegged joinery and standing on bracket feet. The surface shows an appealing patina, along with wear and marks from use over the centuries.
