19th century empire revival birch chest of drawers

About the Item

19th century empire revival birch chest of drawers circa 1890. Fine quality Swedish birch chest of drawers in the empire taste. Presented in it's original condition. Rectangular top surface, top drawer forming a stepped overhanging edge, giving the illusion that it is supported by the turned columns. A further 3 drawers with inset panels below. All drawers open on the key which is the norm for Scandinavian furniture. Standing on flat bun feet. Lightly stained to give a slightly darker rich appearance. Working locks and key. Minor surface marks to woodwork/drawer fronts, in line with age.
