About the Item
This is an old Japanese drawer.
The material is made of cedar, and the drawer has traces of "Meiji 1st year" (1868) written in ink at that time.
Over time, black soot has turned into an artistic expression.
The peeling of the paint, which cannot be expressed in a new product, is also an element that makes up the whole. It is matte black with scratches, and it seems to be an art that has been naturally expressed in long-term use.
Only the top surface retains the color of red lacquer, reminiscent of the color of Japan.
